Andras Meridian Airlines
We are a virtual airline, consisting of aviation enthusiasts, including a couple of real-world pilots, but mostly virtual fliers. Members of our group have experience repainting various aircraft in our livery, developing or enhancing simulated airports from the FSX (see below) days and developing AI aircraft flight plans. We have a small connection to the "inner circle" of some of the most respected currently active add-on aircraft developers due from work during closed beta testing.
Though some of our pilots flew in the earliest Microsoft and subLogic simulators, AMA itself has been operating since the days of FSX (Microsoft Flight Simulator 10). We've continued through the era of Prepar3D, and have moved up to Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020. Some of our pilots fly in XPlane, and a few make occasional flights in the older simulators to enjoy certain cherished airframes.
We have brought Andras Meridian Airlines from a start of only three Cessna Skyhawks to a worldwide operating carrier, with hub airports around the globe. This does not mean that we are solely flyers of "tubeliners." Many of our pilots prefer the smaller GA aircraft. Our route structure accommodates all aircraft sizes, from the two-seater to the Boeing 747. Our pilots can experience bush flying in Alaska or Papua New Guinea. Alternately they can fly across oceans.
Generally speaking, up until the largest airframes our flight routes are created to be flown within 90 minutes. Those pilots who continue progression up to our senior ranks are freed from the route structure and able to charter flights to any destination appropriate for the aircraft they choose to fly.
Our pilots hail from Europe, North America and Asia. Most every day at least one of us is flying, often alone racking the air miles and skills. A couple times a week we continue or begin an ongoing group tour. Once a year or so we have a challenge or race, which can be proposed by any of our pilots. And, of course, our Discord channel is handling communications most every day.
If this short sketch sounds interesting, we invite you to read more about the AMA experience using the links above and consider joining our ranks. In any case, keep the blue side up and may all your landings be good ones.
